"Crimes often return to their teacher."
—SENECA, THYESTES, 311
Today's meditation goes much deeper than anything that I can think of, when trying to compare it to trading.
It does however, demonstrate the importance of teaching the right things and being a good example to others, that's for sure!
I do like the title of today's meditation and as traders, most definitely "we reap what we sow."
We plant and sow the seeds, so that eventually our selection process will become second nature, as we practice doing this again and again.
It is vital that we sow the right seeds though of course, which enables us to become more consistent and confident of making the right decisions. This means that we can execute and fully manage our trades to completion, based on what we are seeing during a trade and therefore reacting accordingly, without hesitation.
Once you have set the rules/criteria for your strategies, it is then up to you to stick rigidly to those rules 100% of the time; otherwise there is no point putting those rules in place, if you are not going to adhere to them!
So yes, in a trading sense also, "we reap what we sow" and that should pave the way for us to reap the rewards for our hard work, over the long term.
If you haven't done so already; it's time for you to put it to the test! Don't hold yourself back; you've got this for sure!
