"Let us prepare our minds as if we'd come to the very end of life. Let us postpone nothing. Let us balance life's books each day. . . . The one who puts the finishing touches on their life each day is never short of time."
— Seneca, Moral Letters
As we enter the final month of this year's daily journals, today's meditation is quite a deep one and we can't really compare trading to a matter of life and death, like the soldier going to war and not knowing if he will return.
We can however, put our trading affairs in order, every day, ensuring that we stick to the rules/criteria for our strategies and avoid putting our trading bank at risk, by fully managing our trades to completion, every time that we trade.
This means that with bank protection, we live to fight the next battle and another day. Your trading bank is vital, because without it, you simply cannot stay in the game.
With constant repetitive practice, you will become better and better at what you do, which in turn will breed confidence to make the right calls, which can be split second decisions at times, in a fast moving market, such as a 5 furlong sprint, in a horse race for example.
This is why you need to be prepared, so that you can be totally focused with zero distractions, on the job in hand, if you want to take your trading seriously and to the next level.
If you are prepared fully, to put in the hard work, by doing your research and getting so familiar with your strategies, that you know exactly what to do at any given moment, regardless of what happens during each trade that you enter, you will be rewarded for your endeavours as you develop and evolve on your trading journey; I can assure you.
