Don't Mind Me, I'm Only Dying Slow

John BoyUk, 2 December

"Let each thing you would do, say or intend be like that of a dying person."
— Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

Another deep and heavy meditation again today and it isn't something that i would care to dwell on and I think most people would agree!

I am a great believer that we should enjoy every day and the saying "treat every day as though it is your last" is something to take on board.

As far as trading is concerned, enjoy the challenges and make it your goal to get better and better. Even that smallest amount of progress each day, means that you are learning and moving in the right direction on your trading journey.

Once you have a set pattern of trading, from the strategies that you have developed or found, it is then a case of getting to know them inside out and back to front, so that you know exactly what you need to do, regardless of what the markets throw at you!

They say practice makes perfect, but your trading journey will never be perfect because there will be bumps in the road and it is down to you to deal with those occasions when trades don't go your way.

Developing the correct trading mindset and ensuring that you have zero distractions, are vital ingredients to ensure that you protect your trading bank and maintain long term profitability.

This isn't a get rich quick scheme and it's not something that just comes to you overnight! You need to put in the hard work and rinse and repeat, practising your strategies repetitively, again and again.

With patience, discipline to stick to the rules/criteria for your strategies and a dogged determination to succeed, you can do it for sure!
