"Kindness is invincible, but only when it's sincere, with no hypocrisy or faking. For what can even the most malicious person do if you keep showing kindness and, if given the chance, you gently point out where they went wrong — right as they are trying to harm you?"
— Marcus Aurelius, Meditations
Today's meditation again can't be really compared to trading.
I used to tweet quite often on Twitter, about my horse racing strategy and occasionally I would come across a negative or hateful reply to something that I had tweeted. I used to respond to these people with kindness, a couple of laughing emojis and blow them a kiss or two! Once they realised that they weren't getting the response that they hoped for, they would stop and some would actually then block me, even though they were the instigators, which did amuse me I must admit!
The point is, that if you act in kindness to somebody being nasty, negative or hateful, the perpetrator doesn't know how to respond, because he/she is expecting a totally different reaction!
These "trolls" as I like to call them, are generally responding the way they do, because they are jealous of other people's success. Remember that it is usually the case that these trolls don't hate you; They hate themselves, because you're a reflection of what they want to be!
As it says in today's meditation; "Most rudeness, meanness and cruelty, are a mask for deep-seated weakness. Kindness in these situations is only possible for people of great strength. You have that strength. Use it."
