Seeing Things As The Person At Fault Does

John BoyUk, 12 March

"Whenever someone has done wrong by you, immediately consider what notion of good or evil they had in doing it. For when you see that, you'll feel compassion, instead of astonishment or rage. For you may yourself have the same notions of good and evil, or similar ones, in which case you'll make an allowance for what they've done. But if you no longer hold the same notions, you'll be more readily gracious for their error."
— Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

Today's meditation is more about seeing things that others do in a different light and dealing with it in a more tolerant and understanding way, when it is not in agreement to how we see it.

Not really something that you can compare to trading, as it is more about how we respond to other people's actions, rather than our own actions, when trading for example. Definitely something to think about though and how we can help ourselves improve our thinking, with a little more understanding of other peoples' views and beliefs etc.

"Seeing things as the person at fault does," certainly made me think about this. Food for thought maybe?
