No One Said It'd Be Easy

John BoyUk, 5 July

"Good people will do what they find honorable to do, even if it requires hard work; they'll do it even if it causes them injury; they'll do it even if it will bring danger. Again, they won't do what they find base, even if it brings wealth, pleasure, or power. Nothing will deter them from what is honorable, and nothing will lure them into what is base."
— Seneca, Moral Letters

Reading today's meditation, the same can be said for trading. If profitable trading was easy, everyone would do it!

There are those who don't want to put in the hard work and expect everything on a plate! These people will follow tipsters and other people's trades on social media and tipping or trading groups, expecting to get instant results!

The harsh truth is that you need to be accountable for your own trades, using strategies that you stick to, without breaking your rules 100% of the time.

You will get far more satisfaction from putting in your own hard work, researching and managing your own trades to completion, than you will jumping on other people's trades.

This way you are only reliant on yourself and you are taking full responsibility for your own trades.

This is why at TTM, we don't tell you what to trade; we much prefer to give you the strategies, so that you can try them out for yourself and see which you feel suit you the best.

Trading is easy when you are taking profits; but you have to hang on in there and stick to what works long term for you, during the tough times. There will be trades that will not go your way and these are the ones than you have to manage, to ensure that you protect your bank and stay in the game.

Once the penny drops and you understand this, it will become easier because you are controlling losses and seeing the bigger picture.

"No one said it'd be easy" but if you are willing to put in the hard work and stick consistently to your trading rules through thick and thin, there is absolutely no reason why you can't do it. You've got this 100%!
