Do Your Job

John BoyUk, 1 July

"Whatever anyone does or says, for my part I'm bound to the good. In the same way an emerald or gold or purple might always proclaim: 'whatever anyone does or says, I must be what I am and show my true colors.'"
— Marcus Aurelius, Meditations

So I am now half way through this 12 month journey of writing my daily journals and as we enter July, the message today is "Do your job"

As students of trading, it is a case of sticking to your trading plan 100%, with no deviation; following the rules/criteria for your strategies, as you get to know them inside out and back to front.

This can be boring of course, rinsing and repeating every time that you trade. However, the more you practice, the better you will become at executing your trades and you will become more and more confident of being able to fully manage every trade that you enter; through to completion.

This will give you a great feeling of self satisfaction, that you are doing exactly as you planned and reaping the rewards.

Hard work, the discipline to be patient and the persistence to stick at it, are all vital elements for success and profitability in the long term.

There are no shortcuts to successful trading. You have to put the hard work in and above all you need patience and discipline by the bucket load, to stand out from the crowd!

So you know exactly what you need to do; "Do your job!"

It's a long and arduous journey, but you can do it without doubt.
