When You Feel Lazy

John BoyUk, 30 August

"Anything that must yet be done, virtue can do with courage and promptness. For anyone would call it a sign of foolishness for one to undertake a task with a lazy and begrudging spirit, or to push the body in one direction and the mind in another, to be torn apart by wildly divergent impulses."
— Seneca, Moral Letters

Today's meditation is a timely reminder that if you are going to do a job, do it properly with your full commitment!

The absolute same can be said for trading, because it's your trading bank on the line here!

You have strategies, but these strategies can't be half hearted affairs; they must have rules/criteria to be met fully and give you an edge too of course.

The time that you invest, working on these strategies and then practising day in and day out, so that you know these strategies inside out and back to front, demonstrates the commitment and hard work that you are putting in.

This will not work if you are not prepared to put in the hard work, to develop, learn and practice your strategies!

You must be fully focused and "in the zone" to be able to execute and fully manage every trade to completion, so laziness does not enter the equation, IF you are determined to make this work!

Lazy traders are losing traders, because corners will be cut and they will look for shortcuts, to try and save time!

If you are feeling lazy, take a day off from trading. If you can't be serious about your trading, you will not achieve the results you are supposed to be striving for, full stop!

So stick to your rules, put in the effort and the hard work, stay patient and disciplined and practice over and over again! If you do this, you will be rewarded for your endeavours. You've got this 100%!

"When you feel lazy" read this post and let it sink in; hopefully it will re-charge you.
