Don't Sweat The Small Stuff

I enjoyed reading today's meditation, but I think it's more to take in and have a think about for every day life, rather than to compare to trading.
Having said that, we shouldn't be sweating as traders, because we trust in the historical stats/data that we have at our disposal and we work solely within the rules/criteria for our strategies, which gives us our trading edge.
So instead of sweating when we find something that fully meets our rules/criteria, we become fully focused and in the zone
and we are ready to fully manage that trade to completion.
Because we are constantly practising this technique over and over again, we start to become more comfortable with being able to execute each trade and consistently make the right choices to react accordingly, based on what we are seeing happen, rather than what we hope or expect will happen. This of course gives us the confidence in using our strategies to good effect and we get to know exactly what we need to do during every trade, regardless of what the market throws at us!
This is the way we develop as traders and as long as we are disciplined and patient to wait for opportunities that fully meet the rules/criteria for our strategies, we will ensure that we are profitable in the long term. This is our primary aim of course, but it is a long and arduous journey, of which there are no shortcuts!.
This isn't a get rich quick strategy and it takes time as you learn your strategies inside out and back to front.
Rome wasn't built in a day as they say and you will develop as a trader over time, IF you stick to the plan 100% for every trade that you execute!
So don't sweat over your trading, enjoy the journey; take it slowly and in your stride and you will get better and better with practice. You've got this!
