Becoming An Expert In What Matters

John BoyUk, 14 April

"Believe me, it's better to produce the balance-sheet of your own life than that of the grain market."
— Seneca, On The Brevity of Life

When we compare today's meditation to trading, this is a reminder that we need to practice, practice, practice, so that we are so familiar with our strategies, that it becomes second nature for us to make sure we do the right thing by executing and managing our trades to their conclusion.

This takes time and you need patience and discipline in abundance too of course. However, if you stick to the rules/criteria for your strategies and you get to know them inside out and back to front, you will become consistent and this will develop a confidence in your trading. Ignore the noise of others and stick to what you are comfortable with and that you know works for you long term!

There are no shortcuts and you must put in the hard and laborious work, but you will be rewarded.

Stick to your strategies 100%, "becoming an expert in what matters" to you as a trader.

You can do it; you've got this, if you stick at it!
