Receive Honours And Slights Exactly The Same Way

Today's meditation is a very interesting read and is definitely something to take on board, both in every day life and in trading.
If you can react the same way when something is given or taken away, you are avoiding the emotional side of trading. As long as you have "done your job" and fully managed your trades, taking targeted profits or controlled losses, then there should be no short term celebration or upset and anger. It is your behaviour that is vitally important and you must stay consistent and follow the rules/criteria for your strategies.
The long term is what matters and you will have your own evidence of this without the need to receive honours from others.
Self satisfaction from the fact that your are doing the right thing on your trading journey, is much more powerful than receiving honours from others. Slights on the other hand, can have a negative effect on you moving forward and can knock your confidence too. This means that it is vital to not let the comments of others, or the occasional expected controlled loss, affect your decision making, because you must stick to the rules/criteria for your strategies 100% of the time!
Remember, trading is a long and arduous journey, with plenty of bumps in the road along the way! It is the long term that matters. Stick to your rules without wavering and you will be heading in the right direction! You've got this.
