"Let all your efforts be directed to something, let it keep that end in view. It's not activity that disturbs people, but false conceptions of things that drive them mad."
— Seneca, On Tranquility of Mind
Our intentions as traders is to become better and better at what we do. This means keeping our focus day in, day out and sticking to the plan 100% of the time. Our end view is to become consistently profitable, so we don't really have an end date as such. Becoming consistently profitable over a period of time by sticking to what works for us, means we are saying no to what doesn't meet our criteria and not being swayed by what other people are doing. This in turn means that we stay on the right path by keeping our discipline and not straying from the rules/criteria of our strategies. We know exactly what our intentions are and this is clarified by using our strategies.
