"Some people want it to happen, some wish it would happen, others make it happen."
—Michael Jordan
2024 was a year to remember for the TTM community, filled with humour, camaraderie, and a shedload of "bloody booms".
Mish of the mighty Mishtips™ brought plenty of laughs, not least when he discovered that Jack Daniel's Honey is an actual product, not a DIY mix, and that "having your ears lowered" refers to having a haircut, not to undergoing major surgery. Fun fact: he's also the proud subject of Cliff Richard's perennial party-starter, Mishletoe and Wine.
A sharp lesson came courtesy of John, who discovered that an ill-timed trip to the bar could set you back £46 for a round that would have cost £20 just minutes earlier—proof that trading principles also apply to pub economics. And February saw Mark, during a month-long recuperation, support Billy in refining his trading approach. As a result, Billy turned his trading around, with only two losing months, and profits far exceeding losses. Aaron took a well-earned break from trading, spending time with his wife and daughter, and returned refreshed and ready to smash his profit goals. Meanwhile, Mark and all involved agreed that the meet-up this year was a landmark moment, laying the groundwork for an even bigger meet in 2025.
Above all, this is a trading community, and Coops summed it up perfectly: the TTM community's spirit of mutual support means that whether you're betting £1 or £50,000, everyone shares the same aim.
The year also packed unforgettable trades. Matt remembers turning around a losing position using the 3-0 strategy, benefiting from two quick goals that brought plenty of green. Boom! Sammy's trade on a Rosenberg-Sarpsborg match using John and Mark's lay-over-1.5-goals strategy paid off, with two goals in stoppage time turning a £13.41 liability into a £56 return. Boom! James had a standout win backing Mark's Standard Deviation Simplified video tip. Boom! And Billy and Mark shared a nail-biting day with a 20-fold accumulator, holding out for the memory of a full win even though an early payout was more than tempting. Boom times boom times boom...
TTM is proof that success is shared when you are happy to hear about other people's achievements. So, raise a glass, can, cup, beaker, vase or shot of Calpol—whatever you've got to hand. And here's to bigger wins, stronger connections, and making 2025 a year to remember. Cheers to the unbeatable spirit of TTM and let's continue making it happen!
Look out, 2025!
